Night entrance & KeySafe
You can reach the KeySafe and night entrance by following the sketch with the directions at the main entrance.
First go right towards the crossroads, then left around the “Schiff” building until you reach the black wooden gate.
Through the door in this black wooden gate you enter our inner courtyard and the “beer garden”.
After about 15 m straight ahead, climb the first metal staircase on the left in the beer garden up to the 1st floor. There you will find the night entrance.
To the right of the night entrance door is the SAFE with the room keys for arrivals outside our reception hours.
Your hotel room key is in the compartment with the number you were given by email, together with the hotel registration form.
Use the touch-screen display to enter your personal four-digit CODE.
Then confirm with the green “Ready / Fertig” button.
Now the compartment opens and you can take out your room key.
The key opens both the door to the night entrance and the respective hotel room door.
Please always take your room key with you when leaving the hotel room, as the reception is currently not continuously manned.

Excursions
The most popular sight and our city landmark is “The Cathedral Of Our Lady”, built from about 1200 to 1513. The 116-metre high “most beautiful tower in Christendom” offers a fantastic view over Freiburg and the Black Forest and is an absolute must for all visitors to Freiburg.
(literally “look-into-the-country”)
Silver, lead and zinc were mined in the also called “ore box” in the 14th century. Today it is famous for the Schauinslandbahn – Germany’s longest cable car and is mainly used as a recreational area for hiking and walking.
With its 1284m summit height, it gives Freiburg the greatest difference in altitude, within the city area, of all major German cities.
